What started out as a fun pet project, has become our mission; design and create sustainable products to help pets live their best lives in a cleaner and greener world.

Our guiding principal is – transparency, dedication and constant improvement. Our special ingredient is love and passion for what we do.

Meet @taztheschnauzer

It all started when Taz, a miniature schnauzer, came into our lives in 2014. He quickly became the center of our world, after all - who could resist such cuteness and charm?

In wanting the best for our little guy, we started searching for the perfect pet gear, that would fit our lifestyle and all our different activities. What we found was a very limited selection specifically for earth friendly products and noticed some features that were either missing or needed improvement. During our daily walks to our most adventurous outings, we started to make a list of features that were important for us.

And so the "project" for the perfect gear began...

some leashes were too heavy for running, or not the right length
the swivel spring hook would jam up with sand
the color would bleed, leaving Taz with stained white fur around his neck... and nobody wants a "ring around the collar"
rusting for some of the metal components was also a big issue with many products
I am highly sensitive to nickel and some of the metal hardware would give me a rash
many are made of nylon and other synthetic materials that are not environmentally friendly

the journey ...

With the help of my sewing machine, I started experimenting with various materials. In a quest to create products that would be earth friendly, suitable for both Taz & I, to make our time together easier and more fun in all our activities.

Our travels allowed us to test the products under many conditions, from the cold winters in NY to the hot & humid weather of the Caribbean. And now in our home and beach life in California.

This process of crafting went on for 5 years. Researching different materials, testing them to make sure they were durable, functional, and eco friendly. Also during this time, developed and perfected a dog shampoo formula that would cleanse, nourish & condition our little one (and getting rid of the plastic bottle was a plus)!

I dedicated a lot of focus on the details in order to make an ordinary product into an amazing one. Like different types of stitching, threads, and hardware for the gear, to the types of natural organic ingredients used in the shampoo bars.
